Obituary:

Dean Lee Gibson, 80 of Sykesville, MD passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2023, with his wife and youngest daughter by his side.
He was the beloved husband for 57 years of Barbara Gibson (nee Wonderly).
Dean was born August 21, 1942, in Dayton, OH, the son of the late Morris Gibson and the late Phyllis Irene Gibson (nee Dean).
Dean was a Veteran of The United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Bethany Church in Ellicott City, MD; he worked as a picture framer, and loved fishing and photography.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Tim Gibson, Gretchen Stangle, and husband Robert and Susie Gibson-Benbow and husband Jason Benbow; grandchildren Tyler and Avery Benbow and brother Terry Gibson and wife Cindy.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School). Where Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11 AM with Pastor Kip Smith officiating from Bethany Church.
Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
