Obituary:

James Joseph Gartland III, 59 of Mt. Airy, Md passed away Friday, February 25, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of Betsy Gartland.
Mr. Gartland was born on March 2, 1962, in Baltimore, MD the son of Jean Gartland and the late J. Joseph Gartland, Jr.
He was the owner and Master Plumber for Gartland Plumbing, Inc., a member of the Sons of the American Legion Sykesville 223 and the VFW. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, fishing, crabbing at Beach Harbor, boating, playing cards and taking trips to the mountains, and spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.
Surviving in addition to his wife & mother is his daughter, Jenna and her husband Anthony Salter; his siblings Michael Gartland and wife Karen, Scott Gartland, Eric Gartland, Wendy and husband Keith Hundertmark and Christian Gartland and wife Stephanie’ god daughters Tabitha Thomas, Malissa Gartland, Devony Gartland, and Corina; nieces and nephews Katie, Ej, Shelbe, Nick, Audrey, Louis, Chase, and Kyle.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 12 Noon – 2 PM at which time the Memorial Service will begin at 2 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Memorial service will be live streamed starting at 1:50 PM.
A Celebration of Joey’s life will be held in the spring of 2022.
