Connie Asher, 83, died on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at Bridging Life Hospice Center in Westminster MD, due to complications from a fall. A native of Annapolis, she was a resident of Howard County for over 40 years and spent the remainder of her life in Carroll County, with family always nearby.

She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gene, whom she married in 1959. She is the daughter of the late Alfred “Johnny” Moreland and the late Doris Moreland of Crownsville, MD. She was also preceded in death by her sister Joy Adams and brother Johnny Moreland. Her laugh at the card table was always the loudest, especially at the fantastic Superbowl parties she and Gene hosted. She was an avid bowler and frequently lead the women’s league with her scoring average. As long as she was able, she loved tending her gardens of fruits, vegetables, and beautiful flowers. She especially enjoyed family get-togethers around the holidays and vacations in her lovely beach house in Ocean City, MD. She loved wearing her purple and cheering on the Ravens. In recent years, she loved attending church with her family.

As a young adult, she worked for Sears and later drove a school bus for Resurrection and St. Louis schools. When Gene started his own construction business, Connie was his Secretary/Treasurer for many years.
